2003 Asymmetric Open Report The weather gods smiled on the 19 competitors at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston sailing clubs Asymmetric Open meeting this weekend, with glorious sunshine and a Southerly force 3-4 on both days. The fleet which consisted of RS800, B14, International 14, Laser 4000, RS400, Buzz and RS200 class dinghies enjoyed three back to back windward/leeward races on both days. Racing was close throughout the fleet but no one could match the speed of Ed Hornagold and Ian Turner in their RS800 who counted five first places to win. A tight battle for second place was won by the B14 of Chris Sallis and Josh Hamer/Mutt Frary finishing one point ahead of Veronica and Ben Falat sailing another RS800. Eight boats competed for the RS400 fleet prizes with Martin Browne and Dinah Holmes emerging as the victors ahead of Richard Brown and Mark Porter/R. Varvel with Philip and Dennis Manning from the Royal Queensland yacht club in Australia taking third
